Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Swim

I swim because it keeps me sane and healthy. I’m a big girl with numerous health problems, but when I’m in the water swimming I feel invincible. I want others to know they can challenge themselves to do more than they believe they can, and to know that the swim community, especially The Chubby Mermaids (which I am part of), welcome all ages, abilities, sizes, and more. Thank you for supporting me in this historic, once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will carry on the legacy of the 29 men lost on the Edmund Fitzgerald 50 years ago.  By helping me meet my fundraising goal, you are also helping renovate the Whitefish Point Lighthouse that safeguards mariners along Lake Superior's "Shipwreck Coast."
