Sitting down to write this message, my heart is weighed down with remembrances of a day that transformed the world: September 11th, 2001. Like many of you, the jolt and disbelief of that ill-fated day are still fresh in my mind.
Approaching the Tower Climb of One World Trade Center, organized by the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, I am filled with a profound sense of purpose and determination. It's an honor to support this meaningful cause, to pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11, and to honor the first responders and military personnel who have selflessly served our country. For me, this event is about more than just climbing stairs or reaching the summit of a building. It's about solidarity, remembrance, and gratitude. It's about standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow Americans, united in our commitment never to forget the sacrifices made on that tragic day. As a kid who grew up in the shadow of 9/11, I've always felt a deep connection. I remember the fear and uncertainty that gripped our nation, but I also remember the outpouring of love and support that followed. That spirit of unity and resilience continues to inspire me to this day.
Supporting the Tunnels to Towers Foundation is my way of giving back to those who have given so much. Thank you to the brave men and women who rushed into danger without hesitation and to the families who lost loved ones in the line of duty.
Our support doesn't end with this climb—it's just the beginning. We must continue to honor the legacy of 9/11 by standing up for the values of freedom, democracy, and compassion that define our nation. We must never forget the lessons of that tragic day or the sacrifices made in its wake.
So, as we lace up our shoes and prepare to take on the challenge ahead, let us do so with purpose and determination. Let us climb not just for ourselves but for all those who cannot. Let us climb in remembrance of the past and hope for the future.
Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can ensure that the memory of 9/11 lives on, not just in our hearts but in our actions. Thank you for joining me in this important cause.
