The Macklind Mile is more than just getting outside…you can run fast or stroll slow…you can race to compete or move to complete. There will be music, food and activities following the short one mile course which makes it perfect for hanging out in the streets of South City St Louis with other kids and kids-at-heart. If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this: it’s a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking, and the post-race party is just as important as the distance covered! You can come to run the downhill, one mile course to try and set a personal record, or you can walk it with your family pet – but either way you’re partying at the finish line!

Tracking your mileage is super easy, you will be logging your miles directly into the RunSignUp System. Once you do it a few times you'll get into the hang of it! You will get an email with instructions for you to upload directly. You have 26 days from whenever you start to finish the challenge. If you do not get the confirmation email with tracking instructions you can follow the instructions below. If you are having any trouble, please use the contact us on race page.
Submit and manage virtual results
Login to your RunSignup account. We recommend letting it remember your username/password as you'll be here often!
Navigate to the Leaderboard page. We recommend bookmarking this page so you can find it quickly everyday.
Click "Submit Virtual Results"
You will be shown a calendar, select the current day or the day for which you are entering the miles.
A second box says "Distance in Miles", add the mileage you ran that day.
Don't forget to enter your time too.
Click "Submit Activity"
When you go to submit your next activity, click "Add Another Activity", it's the blue button at the bottom! This way you don't overwrite your previous activity!
RunSignup will automatically update your total distance and time to show you your total progression to date!
Tips and Tricks
It's best to enter your distance daily. Obviously life happens and you will perhaps not be able to every day, but staying consistent will make it easy so you're not having to enter a ton of data at once. Plus seeing that progression is very motivating!
For those athletes who "double" (that is, run/walk twice or perhaps more in a day), simply total the mileage that day and submit one entry. E.g., Allison runs 4 miles in the morning and then does another 6 that night. She should make one entry for 10 miles that day.
There are 2 ways to enter your time:
1. Use the link in your Athlinks Virtual Race email to get to your exclusive Time Input page. Once you've entered a time, you'll be able to claim your result to your Athlinks profile.
2. You can search for your name on the Macklind Mile Results Result Page, claim your Virtual Race Page which will require that you either sign into your Athlinks account, or join Athlinks, and post there.
