In October 2025, for the first time, I walked the Boston 10K for Women which was the first competitive athletic activity that I ever entered and finished. Going into this event, I had no idea how inspired and accomplished I would feel when I walked across the Finish Line!
In October, I will be participating in the 50th Anniversary of the Boston 10K for Women as a member of the LWVMA Team Civic Pacers and its sister fund, The Lotte E. Scharfman Memorial Education Fund! Together, they work year-round to register voters, provide civic education, and empower young women with the tools, training, and confidence to lead in their communities
As the Civic Pacers, we run to expand voter access and inspire the next wave of women leaders. We set the pace for participation on the course and at the polls. Our team brings generations together in motion. From seasoned advocates to rising leaders, every mile supports informed voters and a stronger democracy.
I ask that you please cheer me on as I challenge myself, again, to complete the Boston Women’s 10K on October 10th. Your support for me encourages others to join as we invest in the future for tomorrow’s leaders!
