My mom, Diane, passed away from a short battle with stomach cancer in November 2020. During my mom's diagnosis, I turned to the AACR for information regarding her diagnosis and treatment. Even during this challenging time, this organization gave me insight into information that I would not have had as a layperson and this information helped my family and me with her diagnosis.
The AACR brings together the greatest minds in cancer science and works side by side with scientists, clinical researchers, healthcare providers, policy makers, patients, advocates, and other key stakeholders to drive progress against cancer.
In honor of my mom, I am raising money for STRIDES, which will directly support the AACR Foundation's FIFTY for FIFTY campaign. This campaign honors the progress in cancer research over the last 50 years and is raising funds to support future breakthroughs.
