Hi OP Family and Friends,
I am Robbie Matos. I am 25 years old. My younger and only brother, Adam Matos, is a Senior at OP. I have been running for almost 10 years; running 5K's, 10K's, Half-Marathons, the New Jersey Marathon (4 times), NYC Marathon (1 time, it was AWESOME), Philadelphia Marathon (2 times). I qualified for Chicago twice but Covid canceled it out. When I was in High School (2014-2017), I was able to run with the Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS Track Team with my sending school supporting me (The Children's Institute/Spectrum 360). SP-F HS Track Coach Koegel trained me and I was able to achieve my ultimate goal of running a 5 minute mile; actually 4:57. I am an individual on the Autism Spectrum and had never had that opportunity before to run with my peers. My brother Adam is 8 years younger than me, and he has been my best friend who I can always count on. I have signed up for the Oratory Prep Rams Run Together to use my God-given running talents to help raise funds for this great school. My personal 5K best is 18:12 and I hope to beat that.
