On November 27th, I made a decision to start changing my life.
That was 108 days ago, and at that time I weighed 327 pounds.
I didn’t start with a big race goal or some huge fitness plan. I just started moving. One walk at a time. One better decision at a time. Some days were easier than others, but I kept showing up.
Over those 108 days something incredible happened.
I’ve now lost 70 pounds.
But even more surprising than the weight loss was discovering something I never expected, I've fell in love with putting in miles. Walking, running, being outside, pushing myself just a little farther than the day before. What started as something I needed to do for my health became something I genuinely love doing.
Recently I saw the Run for Grace 5K in Conway, and it just felt right. This race wasn’t a long-term goal or something I had planned months ago. It simply popped up, and I knew I wanted to run it. It feels like the perfect way to celebrate these last 108 days and the miles that helped change my life.
I’m currently looking for a few sponsors to help me run, and I’m only $50 away from my goal.
If you’d like to support me and this journey, any amount helps and means more than you know. Your support is encouragement that keeps me moving forward, one mile at a time.
Thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey.
