Walking 31 miles in May (and hugging at least 31 trees) to spread some love and encourage self-care (for myself and others), all while raising money and awareness for the inspiring families we work with.
All proceeds benefit Berkshire's Mission Fund which is unrestricted and allows us to provide support for the bio and foster families we serve. In my 6 years here at Berkshire, my team and I have been able to spend these funds in such meaningful ways. For example, we were able to buy an almost $3000 custom bike for a child in foster care living with disabilities so that he was able to go on bike rides with his foster family. I wish I could share a picture of the smile on his face when he was bike riding for the first time!
