On March 17, 2025, our world lost a light that can never be replaced. I lost my baby cousin, Mia.
I am Mia’s "CLAW" (Cousin-in-Law), but to me, she was so much more. I loved her more like a daughter. Every time I saw her, I made a huge ruckus! I would spread my arms and embrace her. Mia had an incredible gift of lighting up every room she walked into. She was someone I always looked for.
Whether she was at ballet, cheerleading, or gymnastics, I was her biggest fan. I loved being in the stands, cheering as loud as I could, making sure she knew just how proud I was of her.
Today I find myself supporting her in a manner I wish i never had to. But I will, because I love her.
I’m participating in this fundraiser to ensure that other families don't have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone as bright and vibrant as Mia.
Why Your Support Matters
The With Hope Foundation works tirelessly to prevent these tragedies. By donating to my page, you are helping fund:
- Education: Reaching over 10,000 students and parents annually to recognize the warning signs of suicide.
- Empowerment: Equipping community members with the tools for life-saving intervention.
- Grief Support: Providing specialized counseling and support groups (like Friends With Hope) for those of us navigating the traumatic loss of a loved one.
Those who lose someone to suicide are at a much higher risk for depression and PTSD. This foundation ensures that no one has to walk that dark path alone.
How You Can Help
Thank you for visiting my page and honoring Mia’s memory with me. Your donation—no matter the size—can make a life-saving difference. Let’s make a "ruckus" for mental health awareness and keep Mia’s light shining bright.
