For generations the American wild mustang has been the subject of lore, the name of muscle cars, and is emblematic of the wild west, where they often still run free. Despite this, the wild mustang has been rounded up by the tens of thousands, oftentimes finding themselves in kill pens destined for slaughter. For those that have had the opportunity to touch, work with, or ride a mustang, it's a life-changing event.
I am the very fortunate owner of an 8 year old mustang named Nevada, who has accepted me as his human and who will be joining me on a 100 mile ride starting on October 12. I will be joining Lisanne Fear who has been riding for months, having started on the East Coast.
