Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Shaver Lake "Mile High" Triathlon still happening?
A: The event is rescheduled to October 18th due to the Creek Fire and will be held at Shaver Lake if possible. If we are not able to hold the event at Shaver Lake we will hold the event at an alternative location on October 18th. The alternative location and course maps will be announced to athletes once it is finalized. The event location (Shaver or the alternative) will be announced at least one week prior to the event.

Q: Is the Shaver Lake "Mile High" Triathlon USAT sanctioned?
A: Yes, the race is USAT sanctioned!

Q: Will there be early packet pickup in Fresno?
A: Yes, packet pickup will be Thursday before the event at Break the Barriers. This is a drive through style with limited contact. Packet Pickup will also be at the venue on the day before and the day of the event. To reduce contact at packet pick up there will be no in person race day registration and registration will remain open until the start of the race. Please contact us if you have any issues with registration.

Q: Are spectators allowed?
A: Following state guidelines, spectators will not be allowed at the race. If you have family or friends that would like to see you race, volunteering is a great way to be able to be on site and cheer while helping make the event happen.

Q: What is your refund policy if I am sick?
A: If an athlete Is sick, suspects Covid symptoms, or has been in contact with someone with Covid-19 we encourage them to stay home. Athletes can defer, transfer their registration to another race, or opt to receive swag and race as a "virtual" upon request. Athletes  have the option to purchase registration insurance which will provide a refund in the event of being sick, injured, or scheduled to work.

Q: Triathlons keep getting canceled, what are my risks for signing up for this race?
A: If the race is canceled for any reason athletes will have the option to defer to a race in 2021, or receive a refund minus the registration fee.
