Unleashed at Stadium Bowl's peer-to-peer fundraising effort supports Kindred Souls Foundation's Community Spay/Neuter Fund!
Kindred Souls Foundation is 100% volunteer run organization, so 100% of your donation to my fundraiser goes directly to spay/neuter procedures.
Unleashed Funding: Race participants run up and down 1,628 steps (or 3,256 steps) of the iconic stadium high school bowl to benefit KSF animals. 100% of the money raised from race entries, sponsorships, and general donations will go directly into our Foundation medical fund.
This year marks our 3rd Heroes Race where first responders race up and down 1,628 steps in weighted vests to raise money for the Foundation animals! It’s beyond inspiring!
Currently, 95% of the Foundation animals are with KSF until they no longer have quality of life. They are hospice, medically fragile, senior, and special needs cats and dogs. 85% of KSF funding is spent on medical services, medications and medical supplies. As a 100% volunteer-run non-profit, the remaining funds are spent on pet food and supplies (potty pads, pet steps/ramps, cat litter, harnesses/leashes, etc.)
Unleashed Peer-to-Peer Donations: KSF also provides community outreach to pets residing at partner locations or through client advocates. Services include free wellness exams with DVM, core vaccines, spay/neuter vouchers, flea medication, de-wormer, nail trims, and pet food. KSF has established MOU’s with the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center, Catholic Community Services, Catholic Housing Services, and Low Income Housing Institute. Our peer-to-peer fundraising will help spay/neuter community pets at our partner locations.
Last year, KSF's peer-to-peer fundraising component of Unleashed at Stadium Bowl raised an additional $10,000 for community spay/neuter services for our outreach cases! 66 cats and dogs who would not otherwise have access to spay/neuter are now ‘fixed’ and no longer contributing to pet overpopulation.
