Pedal the Cause

At 91 years young, I’m proud to be pedaling for a cause that means so much to me and my family... and I may even be one of the oldest Pedal the Cause participants!

Cancer has touched our family in more ways than we wish it had. I have lost my brother and other beloved family members to their battles with cancer, which is why this cause is so close to my heart.

Pedal the Cause has truly become a family effort for us. My family rides, volunteers, fundraises, and continues to show up year after year. We do it in memory of the loved ones we’ve lost, in support of those who are still fighting, and with hope for a future where no family has to lose someone they love to cancer.

I may be riding my stationary bike, but every mile I pedal has a purpose. At 91, I’m still pedaling, still hoping, and still doing my part to help fight cancer.

100% of every dollar donated to Pedal the Cause funds innovative cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, helping drive new treatments, clinical trials, and discoveries right here in St. Louis.
