Some people leave memories behind. Nasim left a legacy.
Nasim Khwajazada was a hardworking, generous, and deeply loving man who always made time for others. He was the kind of person who showed up, lent a hand, and made those around him feel valued. His kindness, strength, and love continue to live on through the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
In August 2020, Nasim passed away from primary cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the heart. Even during his illness, he never complained. He faced it with courage and faith, surrounded by loved ones who traveled from around the world to be by his side.
Of all the roles he held in life, being a father and grandfather was among the ones he cherished most. He took immense pride in his family and never missed an opportunity to remind his grandchildren how much they meant to him. He never let a conversation with them end without saying:
“I love myself.”
Today, we race in Nasim's memory.
We race to honor the life he lived, the people he loved, and the legacy he left behind.
Every step is for Nasim.
Every mile brings us closer to a cure.
Every contribution helps us move closer to a future without sarcoma.
For Nasim. For his legacy. For a cure.
