I’m riding in support of family diagnosed with cancer

7 Years!

I participated in Pedal for the first time in 2015, for multiple reasons: in memory of Grandpa Brennan who died from stomach cancer, get back to riding regularly, and set an example for my family.

Over years other family members and friends have been added to the list for whom I ride: mom who beat a cancerous brain tumor, Aunt Chris and Ginny who lost their battles with cancer, and my cousin Jeff who continues to thrive in remission. I also ride for other friends who are currently battling cancer. One more impacted person is too many.

What is Pedal? Pedal the Cause's mission is to provide critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital through its annual cycling challenge. Its hope is that research funded by PTC will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer. Founded in 2010 with the bold model of using public donations to fund world-class cancer research, Pedal the Cause has quickly become the gateway to curing cancer - all cancers, for everyone. Best of all, 100% OF EVERY DONATION GOES TO THIS VERY WORTHY CAUSE. Since 2010, Pedal the Cause’s inaugural year, $45.8+ million has been donated and 223 cancer research projects have been funded.

Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

We - YOU AND I - have raised more than $2,900 together during my 6 previous Pedal The Cause fundraisers. Let's add to those totals in 2024.

I hope you'll join me
