Help me in supporting Tourette Association of America for the 2024 Javelina Jundred!
As many of you know, my stepdaughter, Lucy was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome in 2017 when she was just three years old. This disease affects Lucy's daily life, as well as the lives of us who love and care for her. Simple tasks such as brushing her teeth, watching a movie, sitting at her desk in school, and eating dinner can all be disrupted by her body's need to make vocalizations or repetitive movements (both known as tics).
Fortunately, Lucy is a rad kid and knows how to talk with her friends and classmates about her Tourette Syndrome. Today, Lucy is excelling in school, singing to Taylor Swift, performing in school choir productions, leading group projects, and treating her dogs like babies... and she does all of this while twitching her face and obsessively clearing your throat.
