Celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th birthday with us at Legacy Park for our 7th annual Firecracker 5K & Fun Run — now bigger, brighter, and more festive than ever and a part of Norman's annual Fourth Fest! This year’s run brings a special twist as we honor 250 years of the USA with patriotic fun, and a course full of red‑white‑and‑blue energy. 🎂🧨

Whether you’re chasing a PR on this fast & flat course, jogging with family and friends, or kicking off your holiday morning with something active and spirited, this is the perfect way to start July 4th. This race will have youth and adult age group awards & you will be running with an elite runner!

💦We are partnering with Nano Hydration - an Oklahoma based company - to carry out a hydration study at the Norman Fourth Fest Firecracker 5K. Come out to the race and you will be provided with a bottled hydration beverage after the event along with two hydration packets in exchange for completing some very short surveys.

Packet pickup:

⭐Pre-race Packet pickup just got tastier - join us for a free USA‑250 hot dog cookout on July 3rd from 11:00 to 7:00pm 🌭 Details are on the flyer at the bottom of this page and will also be sent out to registered participants a few days before the event - it’s also posted on our Facebook page. 

✔️Race‑day pickup will also be available on site starting one hour before the race, but we strongly encourage everyone to grab packets early prior to race day, to skip race day lines and head to the start line on time.

⭐Race Day Registration will close 15 minutes prior to the race start at all races, and payment by credit/debit card only will be accepted for your online onsite registration.
