North GA Running Co. Race Series

Join us for our first ever NORTH GA RUNNING CO. Race Series 2017! Come on out and #runlocal with North GA Running Co., powered by Race Works Timing.

The NGRC Race Series 2017 will consist of a short distance series and a long distance series! The short distance consists of five (5), 5k races.  The long distance will consist of a 10k, 15k and a Half Marathon. Both short and long distance will take place locally around the Cumming area.  Points will be awarded based on overall finish in each age group in each race event. For the short distance series, particIpants MUST compete in a MINIMUM OF FOUR (4) race events to qualify for overall series awards. For the long distance series you MUST compete in ALL three (3) events to qualify for the overall series awards.

The North GA Running Co. Races Series  (SHORT DISTANCE) consists of the following five (5) 5k races:

1) Fiesta 5k Challenge on Saturday, April 29th

**Please note that this race event is not put on by NGRC. If you register for the entire race series this race is automically included in the price, however, if you do not want to register through the race series package and still want to be a part of the series, you can register separately at: https://runsignup.com/Race/GA/Cumming/Fiesta5kChallenge

The North GA Running Co. Races Series  (LONG DISTANCE) consists of the following three (3) races:

1) Memorial Day Run/Walk for Autism 10k on Monday, May 29th

2) Labor Day Doughnut Dash 15k on Monday, Sept. 4th

3)Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble Half Marathon on Thursday, Nov. 23rd

RACE SERIES POINT SYSTEM

How does the point system work?

Each age group begining with 10 and under will be awarded NGRC Race Series points. 1st place in the age group will be awarded a minimum of 10 points, 2nd place will receive 9 points and so on.

What happens if I change age groups in the middle of the year?

The age group in which you will compete all year is determined by the age you are on April 29, 2017 at the first NGRC Race Series event and you will stay in that age group the entire year. If you look at the posted results for each individual race you will be in your age group as of that day. However, in the race series scoring you will be in the age group you were on as of April 29.

When will results be posted?

Race Works will have official results posted immediately after the event and updated series scoring shortly after! As results are posted series scoring will be updated here: https://runsignup.com/Series/NorthGARunningCo

What do the age group winners receive at the end of the series?

Plaque or a medal! (and bragging rights :)
