I’m excited to take part in my fourth Battlegreen 5K to support Neuro-Fit North Shore and the people whose determination inspires me every day.
A brain injury, stroke, or other neurological disorder can change life for an entire family. Neuro-Fit helps people keep moving forward—building strength, confidence, and connections through safe, assisted exercise.
With classes Monday through Thursday at the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead and the Greater Beverly YMCA, Neuro-Fit gives participants access to equipment, personal assistance, and an encouraging community. One family member describes its impact this way: “Neuro-Fit has redefined my mom’s post stroke journey when all other providers believed she had achieved all she could. Neuro-Fit, with its team of interns, has pushed her further and she is getting stronger. It is amazing to see her confidence grow and the pride she has after each session.”
As an athlete and lifelong active person, I know how much movement matters to both physical and mental well-being. In my work with Neuro-Fit, I see what that means for people facing daily challenges. A little more strength, better balance, or the confidence to try again can be a major accomplishment.
Many participants live on low or fixed incomes. The ongoing assistance they need to exercise safely would otherwise be out of reach. Your donation helps keep Neuro-Fit affordable and makes continued progress possible.
A huge thank you to the Greater Beverly YMCA and the Lynch/Vann Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead for allowing us to effectively run our program. Without their partnership our program would not run as safely as it does so thank you!
Please support my 5K with a gift today. Every contribution helps participants pursue their goals—and experience the pride of achieving them. Thank you!
