In 2017 I gave birth to a perfectly healthy little boy named Parker Jacob. He was born at 23 weeks and 4 days due to me unknowingly having Cervical Insufficiency. That's a condition where the cervix begins to open before the baby is ready to be born and thus at 4:55am on January 21st, Parker entered the world. He passed away peacefully in my arms an hour later.
Losing a child is an intolerable experience that can break a person in ways that are not fixable or solvable. Grief and mourning are individualized experiences that can take years, not days or weeks. But fortunately there are resources and wonderful people who can make the grieving and healing process a little more bearable. And Sweet Grace Ministries was that for me. The comfort basket and all that was gifted to me was a blessing. Sweet Grace Ministries still sends me Mother's Day cards, remembrance cards and birthday cards for Parker. They go above and beyond.
