The challenge will take place from November 23-December 15, giving individuals and teams 3 weeks to accumulate miles. Paws for a Cause is providing Lily with a diabetic alert dog, Fred, a standard poodle, has been trained to smell dangerously low and high blood sugar levels on Lily and provide a level of security as she approaches adulthood. Lily will also get lots of love and emotional support from Fred, resulting in an increased sense of security and balance while living with Type 1 Diabetes. Fred and Lily have already met and share a special bond. We have already raised over $16,000 but we still have some funds to raise as Fred is now ready to go home with Lily and start their life together.
