Rockin' Run for the Arts

The Sampson Arts Council is excited to invite you to participate in our Rockin’ Run for the ARTS 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in beautiful downtown Clinton, North Carolina. Our open-road course is a combination of flat terrain and a few hills to create a fun, but challenging run. You will ‘rock while you run’ as you encounter local musicians stationed at intervals along the route! We look forward to seeing all ages, walkers, runners and anybody willing to be a cheerleader along the way.

The start-line window will open at 8:30AM for the Fun Run and 9:00AM for the 5K at the Victor R. Small House in downtown Clinton. Make sure you plan to be at the race in plenty of time to enjoy pre-race festivities including music, dancing, and warm-up stretching! Stick around after the race and enjoy more music, local art vendors, food vendors and beer from Grog Row!

Packet Pick-up will take place Friday, November 9, from 5:00 - 7:00PM, at the Victor R. Small House, 709 College St. in Clinton.

5K Race awards will be presented to the following:

1st Place Overall Male and Female
1st Place Male and Female in each age category will be recognized

All Fun Run and 5K Runners receive a medal

31-40

60 and up
Electronic chip timing by Run the East (5K)

Fees:

5K: $30 (pre-registration) $35 (race day) and $20 for student groups of 10 or more, contact Kara Donatelli at 910-596-2533 to register your group

Virtual 5K: same pricing as regular 5K, but this event is for participants who will NOT attend the race on race day but want to support. These participants will need to pick up their shirt at the Packet Pick-up on Friday, November 9, from 5:00 - 7:00PM, at the Victor R. Small House, 709 College St. in Clinton.

1K Fun Run: $15 (Participants do not receive a t-shirt)

INCLEMENT WEATHER/REFUND POLICY:

The Rockin' Run will take place rain or shine.  We will work with local officials and the Clinton Police Department to closely monitor any severe weather and, if necessary for the safety of our participants and volunteers, will notify you as soon as possible if the race will be cancelled.  In the event of cancellation, there will be no refunds issued as all race expenses have already been incurred.  Race t-shirts and goody bags will be available to participants on a first come, first serve basis (guaranteed to those who registered by the October 24th t-shirt deadline) and pickup time and location information will be emailed to participants.
