In His Steps 5K/1Mile Walk and Run

Funds raised for this race minus our expenses will go totally to three local nonprofits who are helping children, youth and very young adults. The nonprofits are Daughters of Worth, L.A.M.B.'s Place and Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina.
Colorful heavy cotton Tshirts will be provided for all participants with the logo and sponsor names. Gift cards will be awarded to the winners in multiple age groups for both males and females. No bikes, skateboards or dogs. Only needed strollers and wheelchairs.

Children's games are planned for the church's front lawn.

AWARDS/CATEGORIES

Age groups - A first place winner (one male and one female) in each of the following age groups will be receiving a gift card to a local establishment. Rewards are only for the 5K not the 1Mile
11and under,12-17,18-28, 29-39, 40-50, 51plus
Cards will be given out the day of the race.
This is a fun run race so no official timing.

Registration must be completed by April 14, 2022 to guarantee your shirt size.Shirts are available in
children's sizes-S,M,L
adult sizes-S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X
Promotional items and shirts will be given out the day before the race (April 29th) on the front lawn of Jarvis MUMC (race location) between 11:30-1:30pm and 5:00-6:30 pm

COURSE DESCRIPTION The 5K race will start on the side of Jarvis MUMChurch facing 5th St. Runners will go down Washington St, crossing First St with a policeman at Holly St, weave through the housing development (volunteers will be stationed at every turn) and lastly around a short section of the Greenway. Water will be offered halfway and then come back the same route.

The 1 Mile will follow the same route but will only go as far as crossing First St with the policeman and then come back .
