Special Olympics Beaufort/Hyde provides year-round opportunities for over 150 youth and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities to participate athletics (track & field), aquatics, alpine skiing, bowling and bocce. Athletes train and compete locally, with opportunities to advance to State, USA Games and Special Olympics World Games competitions. These athletes benefit greatly and grow socially from their experiences with Special Olympics. During this global pandemic Special Olympics North Carolina has created a 10 week Partner Up Power Up fitness program that is taking place this fall. This program focuses on fitness, nutrition, stretching and staying active during these uncertain times where we cannot be together to train and compete. We thank you for your support to Special Olympics Beaufort/Hyde and we look forward to training and competing soon!
In the spirit of 2020, this year's event will be virtual!!!! Run (or walk) anywhere from March 26, 2021 - March 28, 2021.
Registration Cost:
$30 - Virtual 10k & Virtual 5k
$20 - Virtual 1-Mile
T-shirts will be provided to all those who register by March 11, 2021. All shirts and medals will be mailed to participants.
Award Divisions:
overall 5K
10K (men and women combined for all). 0-19,20-29,30-49, and 50 and up.
