Mission Run 5K Run/Walk

A 5K fun run/walk hosted by Mary, Queen of the Americas Catholic Church (María, Reina de las Américas)-Mt. Olive and St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church - Beulaville, in partnership with the town of Mt. Olive and MISSIONHURST-CICM. Fun run event features a timed chip to be given to all participants.

Mary, Queen of the Americas (Maria, Reina de las Américas) are a Catholic Church congregation in Mt. Olive, NC that belongs to the Roman Catholic diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Christian community we devote our time and efforts in the mission of the Church through social action.

Missionhurst-CICM is a non-profit organization of missionaries presently working in 22 countries worldwide in education, development, relief and health care. The proceeds of this fun run will (1) help sponsor 100 Haitian kids go to school in 2017 at St. Jean Bosco School in the mountain-village of Bois de Laurence in Northeast Haiti; and (2) benefit of the youth ministry (formation) and the local church of Mary, Queen of the Americas in Mt. Olive and St. Therese in Beulaville.

The fun run begins and ends at Westbrook park (210 Westbrook Street, Mount Olive, NC 28365)

Start Time: 8:00 AM

Entry fees:
$15 pre-registered runners/walkers (if you register on or before July 1)
$25 (registration from July 2 to July 15-race day)

(Included in the fee:

-        Cost to run (chip tag)

-        Event shirt (if you register before July 1)

-        Refreshments and light snacks (hotdogs) for all who will register.

To guarantee your participation and event shirt you must register before July 1st.

There will be door prizes and race medals (for the first 3 runners-adult men & women; children)

Pre-registered participants may pick up packets on Friday, July 14th from 5-7 p.m. at Westbrook park, 210 Westbrook st., Mt. Olive, NC 28518. Race Day packet pick-up will be from 6:30- 7:45 am at Westbrook park.

On-site registration will also be available from 6:30- 7:30 am at Westbrook Park. Race day registration is $25 and shirts are offered on a first come, first served basis.
