This Close 5K Run/Walk

The world is 99% rid of the crippling disease, polio.  We are truly “this close” to a polio-free planet.  This is a local run that is organized by New Bern High School students who are part of a volunteer group, Interact Club, at their school.  The Interact club is sponsored by the two Rotary clubs in New Bern, NC.  They are hosting this 5K to raise money to aid in the eradication of polio.  All of the proceeds will directly go towards the eradication effort.
