All funds remain local to provide education and training on relational and independent life skills to our young adults transitioning into post-secondary life as well as workshops and other supports to the families to teach and prepare them and their children for those transitions.“We look forward to engaging the community in this Walk/Run to support the children, young adults and their families affected by Autism,” said Sandra Worth, My Autism Connection Executive Director. “Autism has become more prevalent, over the last few years as more and more children are diagnosed."
We are making a difference in our community, one individual at a time, helping each of them realize they have the ability to learn skills towards independence.”

My Autism Connection (MAC) was started in 2011 to fill a need for individuals with Asperger’s and high-functioning
autism and support their families. The organization has been very successful at building friendships
through social interaction and help develop skills that promote productivity, employment, and
independence within the community. Our members have learned how to care for the own vehicles, interact with others,
learn to budget, cooking and navigating within the community. Through collaboration with federal and state
agencies, the organization strives to grow and broaden not only the skills of our membership but the awareness of the nation.
