Description
A Kitten Place 5K Fun Run/Walk (one mile option) is a fundraiser benefiting A Kitten Place. Participants can run or walk the (untimed) 5K, or walk the one mile loop around the lake. Event festivities will take place immediately following the run/walk which will include refreshments, silent auction and raffle, music, awards and costume contest!

*****EARLY PACKET PICK-UP will be on Wednesday, Oct. 16th from 4-7 pm at Fleet Feet in Brandon - 1934 E Bloomingdale Ave, Valrico, FL
**CAT LITTER DRIVE!!** Bring a bag or container of clumping or non-clumping cat litter and get entered into our raffle drawing. Winners must be present to claim their prize.

Saturday, October 19: 2024 Black Cat 5K Fun Run Event
- 8:00am: Registration/Check In: festivities area (park at corner of Lake Michaela Blvd and Beaver Pond Trail)
- 8:00am: Silent Auction/Chance Drawing Open
- 8:00-10:15am: Complimentary beverages and breakfast items served for registered participants and corporate sponsor guests, Silent Auction and Chance Drawing continues, food trucks and music entertainment
- 8:00-10:30am: Costume Contest Entries
- 8:30am: Black Cat 5K Fun Run/Walk Warm-Up (in front of stage)
- 8:40am: 5K***RUNNERS assemble at the start (Beaver Pond Trail/Lake Michaela Blvd)
- 8:45-8:50am: Black Cat 5K BEGINS! Runners go first, walkers follow
- 10:15am: Silent Auction/Chance Drawing winners announced
***MUST be present to win and claim prizes- Costume Contest Winners announced, prized distributed
- TOP FUNDRAISER AWARDS PRESENTED
- 11:00am: Event ends

Parking Information
Parking is available in the grass along both sides of the festivities area, at the park. Please carpool, when possible, to save space. Look for the parking volunteers in orange vests to direct you. There is additional parking at the community pool parking lot at the corner of Mossy Oak Way and Lake Michaela Blvd.
Giveaways for Registered Participants
Registered participants will receive a high quality T-shirt, Goodie bag filled with giveaways, finishers medal and complementary breakfast items and refreshments!

A Kitten Place is excited to announce our 4th annual Black Cat 5K Fun Run, taking place on October 19, 2024, in Valrico Florida. This event has grown each year, and last year we raised over $22,000 and had over 250 participants and volunteers. It's a fantastic opportunity for businesses to get noticed while supporting a great cause.
