Move to Cure STXBP1 Disorders 2025

It’s that time again — Reese’s Roadies is back for the 2025 STXBP1 Move to Cure campaign fundraiser! Last year, thanks to your amazing support, we helped raise over $18,800 for the STXBP1 Foundation — part of an incredible $100,000+ total. These funds are fueling critical research, clinical trials, and support for families like ours.

Our daughter Reese was diagnosed with STXBP1 in August 2021 (read our early story here). Since then, she’s worked incredibly hard to overcome many challenges. In the past year, she started preschool at St. Mary’s, horse therapy at HorseAbility, and continued intensive physical therapy. We’ve also celebrated some huge milestones of Reese's — sitting independently, bearing weight on her feet, and moving from a formula-only diet to one full of purees of various flavors! Though she can’t speak, her happiness shines through every smile.

Excitingly, a new gene therapy from Capsida Biotherapeutics is about to begin human trials — a big step toward a potential cure (read more here). But we need your help to keep the momentum going.

Our goal this year is to beat last year’s total and keep pushing toward a cure. Whether you donate, share our story, or simply spread awareness — it all makes a difference.
