By far the most wonderful person anyone ever had the privilege of knowing, Renay Wattenbarger was one of the kindest, most genuine, and most joyous human beings. Her passion for education knew no bounds, and she loved her students fiercely. This year, as we raise funds to support the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation, we remember such a wonderful mother, friend, daughter, sister, teacher, and beloved woman Renay once again.
Her battle with colon cancer was hard fought, but in June of 2015 she was reunited with friends and family that were no longer with us. Her strength and fight were more than admiral, and she never let anyone know just how much pain she was in. She loved those around her more than anything in the world, and those who knew her felt the same towards her. Her spirit lives on in the friends and family she left behind. This year, we’re once again raising funds for the GCCCF in honor of Renay. We hope you’ll consider donating because colonoscopies save lives and colon cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable.
