Description
The Foundation for Fresh Produce is gathering friends and colleagues from the industry to join us in Anaheim for the Race for a Healthier World 5K. Runners and walkers will enjoy a 3.1 mile course along the Santa Ana River Trail area while supporting our vision to grow a healthier world through increased access to fruits and vegetables.
This fundraising event will feature a performance t-shirt, a participant medal, race bag full of goodies, light breakfast with coffee, and a guaranteed fun time by all.
Proceeds from all individual and group registration fees as well as additional individual donations will benefit the Foundation for Fresh Produce.
Registration Rates
Before September 13 - $75 per registrant
On or After September 13 - $90 per registrant
To register a team of 20+ participants, please email The Foundation Event Manager, Jennifer Sheehan. The Foundation will issue an invoice for the team and once payment is received, a special registration link will be shared allowing each team member to self-register; no payment information will be collected from each team member.

Where will the 5K be held?
The race course will be an out-and-back on the Santa Ana River Trail (all paved path) that runs along the scenic Santa Ana River. For an interactive map and elevation chart, click HERE. Transportation will be provided to the race start location from the Anaheim Convention Center. More details will be provided in the email sent to all participants prior to the race as well as onsite at the race packet pick-up desk.
What time does the 5K start?
5:30 AM Transportation departs Anaheim Convention Center to race location
6:00 AM Race day packet pick-up only; no onsite registration
6:15 AM Warm-up
6:30 AM Race starts
7:30 AM Race ends/return transportation to Anaheim Convention Center begins
At approximately 7:30 AM or when the last participant finishes
Can I create or join a team?
Yes! We highly encourage groups of friends and colleagues to form teams and run or walk together. Costumes and fun attire are welcome. You will be prompted to either create a new team or you can join an existing team by searching for the name within the Groups/Teams tab at the top of the event webpage.
I have a large team to register. Do you have a bulk registration option?
Yes! If you need to create a team with 20+ participants, please email 5K Event Manager, Jennifer Sheehan. Please provide the number of participants you wish to register. IFPA will create an invoice to allow you to pay online. Once payment is received, you'll receive a special link to share with each of your teammates to self-register; they will not be asked for payment information.
Can I register multiple participants?
Yes, you may register as an individual or as a team. A designated team leader can register all team members. If you register multiple participants, payment is required in full at the time of registration for all registered participants. If you have a team of 20+ participants we can create your team, issue an invoice, and upon payment provide a special link to o share with each of your teammates to self-register; they will not be asked for payment information. To take advantage of this option, please email 5K Event Manager, Jennifer Sheehan.
I registered but can no longer participate. Can I get a refund?
We're sorry to hear you're unable to participate. All race registrations are considered a donation to the Foundation for Fresh Produce, and therefore there are no refunds for cancellations. You may however transfer your registration to someone else. See the next FAQ for further details.
I can no longer participate. How can I transfer my registration to a colleague or friend in the industry?
On the website, log in and navigate to your profile. Click on the tab at the top "Transfer to Someone Else". Enter the first name, last name, and email address of the person to whom you wish to transfer your registration. The person you transfer the registration to will be guaranteed a spot in the 5K, regardless if the race has sold out or not, however, they will be required to accept the transfer by registering for the event before registration closes. This individual will receive an email with these instructions.
How can I join an existing team if I registered as an individual?
Log in to your profile and click Groups/Teams from the top navigation. Click "Join Existing Group/Team". Select the team name from the drop-down and click "Update Group/Team".
When and where can I collect my race bib and T-shirt?
Race participants may collect their bib and T-shirt on site in advance of the event at the Race Registration Counter in Hall E of the Anaheim Convention Center. The counter will be open on Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
I registered a team. Can I pick up everyone's bib and T-shirts?
Yes! As a team leader/captain, you may pick up everyone's bib and T-shirts by scheduling a time in advance. To arrange a pick-up appointment, please email IFPA Event Manager, Jennifer Sheehan. Please note, if you select this option individuals on your team may not pick up their own bib and T-shirt. Please be sure to communicate with your team a meet-up location to pick up their individual bibs and T-shirts.
What awards are available?
Awards for the top three male and female participants will be handed out at the finish line. Awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age group will be tallied and available for pick up at the Race Registration Counter until 5:00PM on Friday, October 17th.
Where can I view the race results?
All results will be accessible via the website by clicking on "Results" in the top navigation. You will not see this tab until the day of the race.

Anaheim Packet Pick Up
Race participants may collect their race bib and T-shirt on site in advance of the event at the Race Registration Counter in Hall E at the Anaheim Convention Center. The counter will be open on:
- Wednesday, October 15 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Thursday, October 16 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Team leaders may elect to pick up bibs and packets for their full team. If this option is selected, individuals may not pick up their own bib and packet. To schedule a team bib and packet pick-up time, please email IFPA Event Manager, Jennifer Sheehan.
