Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

This is my 15th year riding in Pedal the Cause and each year this seems to gain more significance in my life. Cancer has impacted all of us in some way. A few years back, my father was diagnosed and successfully treated for prostate cancer, he is doing great. Sadly, we lost my God Mother to Liposarcoma, she was an amazing lady and fought with such bravery and dignity. Such a legacy she left with her life of Faith.  

I ride for so many family and friends and again of course for my hero warrior nephew, Aiden Howard Maul, and all of the kids like him that are dealing with this horrible reality. Aiden is now 19, he was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor in Dec. of 2012 then battled hard and won. Cancer then relapsed to his lungs and lymph nodes in Dec. 2013 and he battled and won again.
