Robert's Run

Robert's Run is presented by Davis Brothers Auction.  Robert's Run exists to celebrate Robert Leonardi's spirit by connecting our communities and supporting the Play Like Robert Foundation. Robert's Run is a 10K, 5k and 1 mile run/walk in Hamilton Montana on Saturday, August 5, 2023.  Our courses show off the beauty of the Bitterroot Valley!  The 1 mile run/walk is stroller friendly.  We suggest a large wheeled stroller for the 5K and 10K courses.  Stay after the race and enjoy the family friendly festival including refreshments and games.  This year we are offering a "Tri-Fecta" option.  This is for runners/walkers who want to complete all events on August 5th.  This option allows you to participate in the 10k at 7:00am, the 5k at 8:30am, and the 1 mile at 9:30am.

We are pleased to announce that our 2023 race ambassador will be Galen Rupp!    Galen is a four time Olympian and 2 time Olympic Medalist(Silver,10,000M in London 2012, Bronze, Marathon, Rio 2016). Galen is a 9 time USA National Champion in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter distances.  He is a 2-time winner of the USA Olympic Marathon Trials. He is a NCAA Champion in the 5,000, 10,000, and cross-country events.  He is a past winner of the Chicago Marathon.  

Galen will present at our runner's clinic on Friday, August 4th at 6:30 pm  about his running journey, give advice for competitive runners, and provide insight into running or walking for fitness and health for non-competitive participants.  Mr. Rupp will answer questions and be available for autographs and pictures after the clinic.  This clinic will be held at Hamilton High School.

New for 2023, Galen will present a coaches clinic.  This clinic is designed for middle school, high school, college, and club coaches.  Galen will share his knowledge and experience to help coaches improve the performance of their athletes.  The coaches clinic will be held on Friday, August 4th, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.  Email our race director Doug Martin at doug.m@hamiltonpt.com to reserve a spot for the coaches clinic.

All in-person participants who register on or before July 29th, 2023, will be guaranteed a race t-shirt.  For in-person registrations after July 29, 2023, we cannot guarantee a race t-shirt.  Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, August 4th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the parking lot at Hamilton High School located at 327 Fairgrounds Rd., Hamilton, MT.  Packet pick-up will also be available on race day starting at 6:00am at the same location in the Hamilton High School parking lot.  Our timing chips will be attached to the race bibs, so in order to be timed, you will need to pick up your race packet which includes your bib.

We also offer a Virtual 10K, 5k, or 1 mile run/walk, you choose the distance.  This can be done anywhere and anytime on Saturday, August 5th. 

Additionally, you have the option to "Play like Robert".  Our fundraising event is not just a 10K/5k/1 mile run/walk.  The "Play Like Robert" option can be completed anywhere on Saturday, August 5th.  You can Fish, Camp, Swim, Hike, Garden, Read, Cook, Build, Golf, Bike, Travel, Play, or anything you can think of that is active!
