Run or walk 4 miles, 14 miles, or 44 miles, this summer and help support Heroes Health Initiative which provides real-time mental health support for healthcare workers though the Heroes Health App. Run them over time, or challenge yourself and run them all at once!
Even before COVID-19, healthcare workers were vulnerable to depression and suicide. Since the pandemic, healthcare workers have faced overwhelming conditions that place enormous stress on their mental health. We need to protect the health of these healthcare heroes, ensuring that they get the care that they deserve and are in the position to effectively care for the patients that rely on their sound judgment.
For more info on this project, or if you are a Heathcare Hero who'd like to download the app, visit: https://heroeshealth.unc.edu.
$5 from every registration will be donated to ONE MIND.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration proceeds and donations tracked back to the 2020 RUNSOLO event will be donated to support local "Donor's Chose" projects.
All participants receive a commemorative bib, awesome finisher's medal and a multifunctional scarf/headband perfect for use as an alternative to a cloth face mask.
Though not depicted in artist rendering, the finisher's medal contains translucent coloring of the flag stripes, as well as glittered blue text for "RUN" and "HEROES." The number "4" also contains white glitter. This oversized medal is certainly one you will be proud to display!
