Run for Recess! 5K Presented By Achieva Credit Union

Join us for the 2nd Annual Run For Recess! 5K Presented By Achieva Credit Union. Your registration fee helps build new playgrounds for our 1,000+ students at Diplomat Elementary School. And you get an easy, flat & fast, chip-timed 5K course. All runners, joggers, and walkers are welcome.

Each runner gets a bib with chip timer, goody bag with coupons and freebies, and a t-shirt (*while supplies last*). And there will be free refreshments after the race, provided by Chick-fil-A, The Bagel Factory, and Starbucks. And be sure to bring a little cash if you want to cool off with Kona Ice.

This year we are doubling the number of medals! There will be 108 awards up for grabs in these categories:

-1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female finishers in age groups: 8 & Under, 09-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & above
-1st Male & Female finishers in Masters, Grand Masters and Sr. Grand Masters categories
-1st Male & Female finishers overall get trophies

PARKING
Parking is available in front of the elementary and middle schools.
You will enter the school through the cafeteria. Please follow the signs.

RACE ROUTE

The route will border the school grounds and the nearby neighborhood.
The route will be clearly marked with volunteers stationed throughout.
There will be two water stations along the route, at approximately 1 mile and 2 miles.

7:55 AM - National anthem performed by Diplomat Elementary School choir
8:00 AM - Race Start Time
9:00 AM - Cooldown with Orangetheory Fitness
