This is my third year running this 5K, and it means more to me now than ever before. I'm running in honor of my incredible mom, who has been bravely fighting ocular melanoma. Last year, we were celebrating her remission. This year, we’re facing the heartbreaking reality that her cancer has returned.
My mom is the strongest person I know. Her courage, love, and resilience inspire me every single day. I’m running to support her fight, to raise awareness for this rare cancer, and to help fund research and treatment that gives families like mine hope.
Every step I take is for her. Every dollar raised brings us closer to better outcomes for patients like my mom.
