This year, I am taking on my first half marathon at the Kentucky Derby Festival, not just for myself but for a cause close to my heart, Girls on the Run Kentuckiana.
Growing up, I faced bullying because of my weight. As an adult, I struggled with obesity and had no desire to exercise. But I changed my story. I transformed my life, step by step, mile by mile. Now, I want to help young girls write a different story, one of confidence, strength, and empowerment.
Girls on the Run gives girls the tools to build self-esteem, develop healthy habits, and discover their inner strength, all through the power of running. I know firsthand how movement can change a life, and I want to make sure every girl has the chance to experience that same transformation.
I need your help to make an impact! Please consider donating in my name to help support this incredible program. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps change lives, just like running has changed mine.
Join me in this journey. Let’s run for something bigger than ourselves!
