I’m passionate about this cause because I’ve been Deaf my whole life. Despite many challenges, I’ve turned obstacles into opportunities and discovered just how strong I can be. Running is more than a hobby—it’s a symbol of my determination and resilience, carrying me from 5Ks to marathons and even triathlons. The Center has been a lifeline, providing not only resources and ASL interpreters but also a community where I’ve truly found my identity. It’s here that I’ve learned what it means to thrive, not just survive.
Serving as a race director for a nonprofit agency was an incredible honor—it gave me the chance to inspire others and unite our Deaf Community through running. Each step I took in those races reminded me of what’s possible when we come together to support a cause bigger than ourselves. Now, I’m channeling that same spirit as I raise funds for The Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Your support brings hope, empowerment, and opportunity to so many. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
