You never expect that gun violence can or will affect your family. And then it does.
On March 19th, my big brother, was shot in a drive by shooting in Bellevue, WA. In a moment, his life and our family's was forever changed.
There is no face or name for gun violence. It can happen anywhere and anytime. I never want a family to receive a call like the one I did on that morning.
It is my goal that in some small way, I can make a difference towards ending gun violence. I will be running the Cocodona 250 mile race in hopes to advocate for change.
Let's not keep our voices silent. Let's stand up for our family members, friends and loved ones and stop this unnecessary violence.
