Santa Shuffle 5k, Kids Fun Run & Virtual 5k

On Wednesday, December 21st, Governor Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency due to the freezing temperatures over the weekend. The impending weather presents many safety issues for outdoor activities. It is in the best interest of the safety of our participants, volunteers, law enforcement officials, and staff that we postpone Santa Shuffle to next Saturday. As always, there is much to consider when making these decisions about our races and we are very disappointed but it is the right thing to do for our community. 

The location and times will remain the same for Saturday, December 31st.

Race Start Times:

Saturday, December 31st

5k start time:  8:30 AM

Fun Run start time:  9:30 AM

Participants have two options for registration:

1. Do nothing and your registration will automatically transfer to the new date. 
2. Switch to the Virtual option (instructions below.)

If you would like to switch your registration to the virtual option, please do so by the end of the day on Thursday, December 29th

Those that switch to the Virtual Event will receive their finisher medal and race shirt at packet pickup. Race packets for those that switch to the virtual option can be picked up during packet pickup or between December 26th and January 8th at Big Peach Running Co - Cumming.

Kids Fun Run (10 & under) @ 9:15 AM

In-store at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming or online here at runsignup.com.

5k participants will receive a long sleeve shirt and custom finisher medal. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a race t-shirt and fun run medal.*

 - Thursday, December 22nd from 12 PM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

  - Friday, December 23rd from 11 AM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

 - Saturday, December 24th from 11 AM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

- Thursday, December 29th from 12 PM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

  - Friday, December 30th from 11 AM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

- Race morning at race location starting at 7:30 AM. We will be under the green Big Peach Running Co. tent.

Virtual runners can pick up packets during this time. 

**Packets for in-person participants not picked up during packet pickup will be donated. 

Parking:

Cumming City Center parking garage.

Awards:

• Overall male/female
• Overall masters male/female 
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group awards in 5-year increments

***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE AN AWARD CEREMONY POST-SANTA SHUFFLE ON RACE DAY. Overall and Age Group Awards will be available for pickup at Big Peach Running Co - Cumming beginning Monday, December 26th.

*All runners are guaranteed to receive a shirt if registered by 12/16/22 at 11:59 PM

This race is constrained by local and state guidelines and if this event can not be held in person per the direction of state and local officials, the race will convert to a virtual event.
