Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Hetherington, and I'm proud to be supporting the Semper Fi & America's Fund while running the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon! Growing up, I’ve witnessed the impact this organization has on our most severely wounded combat veterans through the work my mother does at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The Semper Fi & America's Fund meets families when they arrive at the hospital and takes care of their needs as well as those of the service members, so that they don’t have any financial worries while caring for their loved ones. My father was a Marine and I understand the sacrifices military families make. He also instilled a love of running in me, and I’m excited to support a great organization through my favorite hobby.
