The Sarah Bishop Bushwhack is a unique and challenging 10K trail race in Mountain Lakes Park, Northern Westchester, New York. Easily drivable from New York City, the course traverses through the park’s 1000 acres of scenic woodlands, beautiful vistas, and around the lakes that give the park its name.
Mark Vincent, one of the founding race directors and the driving force behind the use of Mountain Lakes Park for trail racing, leaves a lasting legacy. He explored the trails after work (at night) and brought the Sunday Runners and the Trailmix Series to Mountain Lakes Park. In 2017, he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma; however, during his two-year battle he was still on the trails whenever possible. Mark lost his heroic battle in August 2019. The race is being run to honor his enthusiasm and contributions to our running community.
