As many of you know, I survived a Diabetic Coma in February of 2020.
For 9 days, I was somewhere between this world and the next, with no sure direction which way it was going to go.
To quote my sister... "We didn't know if you were going to Heaven or Hell, but it looked like you were on your way!"
Thankfully, that didn't happen. With the help of a team of doctors, nurses, family, and friends it was all reversed, and I am here to tell the story today.
But the truth is far too many people don't get that second chance. Far too many diabetics don't have access to the knowledge, medication, and lifesaving treatment needed to manage their condition.
So, I am asking you to help the thousands, perhaps millions, of both diagnosed and undiagnosed diabetics who suffer from this condition.
Please make a donation in my honor to the Run with me Sugar Event.
My fraternity, Omega Psi Phi - Eta Nu Nu Chapter, created this event to bring both awareness and funding to the treatment, diagnosis, and health of all those who suffer from it.
I thank all of you who have supported me over the years, and hope you will continue to support this effort.
Oh... and if you happen to be in the Columbus, Ohio area on August 23, please consider registering for the event. There will be something for everyone! It's going to be OWT!
