DO HARD THINGS!
Friends and Family,
Cameron “Shane” Clark lived a life full of and focused on family, friends and activities. Shane was born in Gainesville, Georgia on November 27,1972, and as a boy and young man could be found engaging in some sort of athletic activity ranging anywhere from football to water skiing. Shane was a standout linebacker for Gainesville High School earning All-State honors his senior year. Upon graduating from Gainesville High School, Shane continued his education and pursued his love of football at the University of Southern Mississippi. After finishing his time at the University of Southern Mississippi, Shane moved back to Gainesville where he met and married his wife, Kara. Together, Shane and Kara built a family and life together in Hall County, where they raised their two children, Callie and Buddy. Shane loved all things active and wanted to develop that same passion in his children, so he got them involved in any and every activity that they showed interest in. It was not just about the activity but it was also a way for Shane to connect with his children. It was not long before Shane became Coach Shane to so many young people in Hall County. Shane wanted every young person he coached to become the best they could be. He wanted to push them out of their comfort zone because he truly believed that was the only way to grow. Shane followed this same advice in his own life as he often pushed himself out of his own comfort zone by completing triathlons, marathons, and half-marathons. Shane did not love running but he loved the accomplishment of having run. Shane could often be found on a miserably hot day running the hills around his home, again not because he loved running but because he believed the only way to get everything out of what God has given you is to
