The Sierra National Forest closure does not include the Southern Ca Edison area. At this time there is no impact to the Shaver Lake Triathlon.
Q: Is the Shaver Lake "Mile High" Triathlon still happening?
A: Yes, the event will follow a health department safety plan unless Covid restrictions are removed by the time of the event.
Q: Is the Shaver Lake "Mile High" Triathlon USAT sanctioned?
A: Yes, the race is USAT sanctioned!
Q: Will there be early packet pickup in Fresno?
A: Yes, packet pickup will be Thursday before the event at Break the Barriers. This is a drive through style with limited contact. Packet Pickup will also be at the venue on the day before and the day of the event. To reduce contact at packet pick up there will be no in person race day registration and registration will remain open until the start of the race or until the event is sold out. Please contact us if you have any issues with registration.
Q: What is your refund policy if I am sick?
A: If an athlete Is sick, suspects Covid symptoms, or has been in contact with someone with Covid-19 we encourage them to stay home. Athletes can defer, transfer their registration to another race, or opt to receive swag and race as a "virtual" upon request. Athletes have the option to purchase registration insurance which will provide a refund in the event of being sick, injured, or scheduled to work.
Q: Triathlons keep getting canceled, what are my risks for signing up for this race?
A: From forest fires to government mandates scheduling events has been a moving target. So far we have been able to hold, move, or reschedule all of our live triathlons in 2020 and 2021.

Whether this is your destination triathlon, or a training event for an upcoming 70.3, don't miss Fresno County's longest-running multisport event, the Shaver Lake Triathlon. The crisp mountain air is a relief from the hot days of summer. The altitude gives this race an extra challenge as you compete in either the Sprint or Olympic distance. Hurry back, there is food and music waiting for you after the race.
