My Dad, his dad, his two brothers and my moms dad have all served in the military in some capacity. My dad, a marine, was deployed during the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia. I’m thankful everyday for the sacrifices he made, including missing the birth of my brother, his first born. I'm supporting Semper Fi & America's Fund as a community athlete for the 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in their honor.
Semper Fi & America's Fund is a non-profit providing urgently needed resources and support for combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
