100-yard dash fun-run for children starts 7:30 am
5k & 10k starts at 8:00
Runners have an opportunity to help a worthy cause, raise awareness about a childhood speech disorder and enjoy some Italian food. Everyone who enters gets a T-shirt and runners will also be treated to spaghetti from Pete’s Place following the runs.
Proceeds from the 5K and 10K runs go to the McAlester RiteCare Clinic, which provides services to children with language or reading issues. The non-profit clinic is on the west side of the McAlester Scottish Rite Center on the corner of Second Street and Adams Ave.
