17 years ago I ran my first 5k in honor of my mom’s fight with Breast Cancer. Now I run my dream. I’m raising 💰 for the BOSTON FIRE DEPT RELIEF FUND - an amazing organization - so I can fulfill my dream of running the Boston Marathon. What better way to come full circle than to support those in their fight against The Big C.

If we learned anything about 2020 it’s that time is a construct. But more to the point, time is limited, and we don’t know for how long. So when life throws that perfect pitch, you better swing for the fences.
This year I’ve been given the opportunity to fill a pipe dream. Ever since I became a long distance runner, the Boston Marathon has been on my radar. Problem was, I knew I would never qualify. My body was just not built to run like that – not that fast and definitely not maintained for that long. A heartbreaking realization, but one I’d come to terms with years ago.
Then a little email back in June happened. Charity organizations were being given spots that they could use to help raise money for their efforts to rebuild after more than a year of people just not being able to donate like they could. And if you pledged to raise a certain amount for whatever charity you chose, you would get a guaranteed spot.
So, thanks to the Boston Fire Dept’s Relief Fund, I’ve been given that chance. In both races.
I just need to raise $7,500. An amount that is big for me, but would mean so much more for them.
Please consider donating to not only help me achieve a dream I never thought I would get to see, but to also help an organization like this rebuild after a devastating year of uncertainty. We both could absolutely use the win.
Thank you for your time. 😁
