Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, Jesse Owens 5K, 1 Mile & Kids Run

Dear Family and Friends,

I am thrilled and honored to participate as a Children's Champion in partnership with the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon. A lot has happened over the past couple of years, and the hospital and the patients they treat still need our support.

Now, more than ever, the dollars we raise are critical. So many of us are experiencing challenges like we have never faced in our lifetime and, as you can imagine, Nationwide Children’s Hospital is no exception. 

My personal fundraising goal for this program is to raise at least $ 2,500, but I'd love to exceed $ 5,000. Any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of children and families worldwide. Nationwide Children's Hospital is proud to treat patients from 50 states and over 60 countries.

Four years ago, I ran this marathon dressed as Spider-Man, just for fun. I wanted to bring smiles to the Mile Champions and kids cheering along the course. But what I didn’t expect was the overwhelming response—not just from the children, but from runners and spectators of all ages. Their excitement inspired me to make it a tradition!

Two years ago, someone suggested turning this into a fundraising opportunity, and I jumped at the chance. This year, I’m setting my biggest goal yet—$5,000. It’s more than I’ve ever raised for this event, but I know that together, we can make it happen. Let’s suit up, step up, and make a real difference for kids in need!
