Welcome to the registration page for the 8th Annual Suwanee Half Marathon and Old Town 5k presented by Performance Race Services and the City of Suwanee.  As in the past, a portion of each registration goes to benefit the Suwanee Public Arts Program, so please come support the arts.

We had an awesome time in the 2020 races and look forward to more in 2021!

We are providing special commemorative jackets/pull overs for all those who have finished 5 years of the Suwanee Half Marathon. (To be mailed/picked up once final order is submitted with all 5 year runners).  *This is only for your 5th year, not each year after 5. We will also have a 10 year when we get there!

Race Information:

The Suwanee Half Marathon course will challenge you but it will also give you a great mix of flat along with the Suwanee hills.  The race will start at Suwanee Town Center, bring you up to and down PIB, in and around George Pierce Park, on the greenway to McGinnis Ferry, down and back onto the greenway (going under McGinnis Ferry) to Suwanee Creek Park.  You will then turn around by the bathrooms in Suwanee Creek Park, return back on the greenway, all the way back onto the boardwalk bridge and back to the start by City Hall.  You can see the course using this link: Suwanee Half Marathon Course

**Weather Alternate Half Marathon Route: In case of greenway flooding we will be using our alternate course Suwanee Half Marathon - Weather Alternate Course

Old Town 5k.  This race will start 15 minutes after the half marathon.  This year the 5k will also start at the same spot as the half marathon in front of city hall.  The 5k will follow the half marathon under the tunnel and down main street, BUT this year you will keep going down main street into Old Town Suwanee, into the neighborhood and turn around by the water tower. You will then return back down main street and back to City Hall.  This course eliminates the big hill in Brushy Creek neighborhood and reduces the elevation gain by almost half. You can see the new course using this link:

New 2022 Old Town 5k Course

COVID information: (subject to change for 2022.  We will keep an eye on the situation as time progresses)

In case you are wondering, below is how the Suwanee Half and Old Town 5k plan on keeping you as safe and feeling secure as possible:

  • We are having 10 second waves (with faster runners in front) of 5-10 people. This will allow for runner to spread out initially
  • Once you get on Main Street there are 2 full lanes of road all the way to PIB which most runners will be spread out by then (unless running with friends)
  • We are having little bottles of water instead of cups to avoid and contamination (runners are expected to throw in the trash cans about 100 yards away from the aid station or keep till the next aid station)
  • We will have sealed food at the end along with sealed drinks too
  • All volunteers will have masks
  • Awards will be “As Finished” - meaning as soon as a runners finishes and gets an award they can go and pick up
  • Suwanee Town Center has big open spaces to have plenty of space to relax and hang out

  • Start will be on Main Street by the library. We have both lanes so it will be easy to spread out
  • We will NOT have an aid station at the half point to avoid more people on the course (there will be drinks at the end)
  • Same after run food and awards as the half
